Heyo! Hope yall had a great year! This is just a quick recap of the few things I got done this year creatively. To tell the truth there was a lot more I wish I could have finished up for this year, but i'm happy with the couple of things I did accomplish:

Jamuary

In January 2023, I decided to try out the Jamuary challenge and make a song every day for 31 days. It was super interesting to work out how to make a whole track every day, and it surprised me how much time I actually had despite my other obligations. Overall it was a worthwhile experience but I don't think i'll be trying it again anytime soon, as it took away from a lot of my output for the rest of the year.

Art Inspired Music

This year I decided to try the Art Inspired Music contest again, since last doing so in 2020. Sate's awesome abstract work rly inspired some wacky IDM beats outta me, inspired by the likes of Aphex Twin and Autechre

And finally, my last project before 2023 is a spruced up Drum n Bass track inspired by Zircon, Pendulum and Waterflame, with some chiptuny videogame elements. This is also the second music video that i've made almost entirely in Blender. It really helped spruce up my 3D skills, and being able to create an entire scene from scratch to fit the music is such a rad feeling. Check out the music vid / song below! Thanks to @Hypervolt for the help with post-processing stuff!

Aaaaand that's pretty much it. I really wanted to get another full album or EP out this year but it just wasn't in the cards. Although I didn't accomplish as much as I wanted i'm hopeful that with the stuff I still learned that 2024 will be great nonetheless. Heyo peeps!

Sorry for the lack of much uploading lately, creative block has been a bitch but i'm still working on things here and there. A new album is in the works that will hopefully be out this year, just need to set my sights on it and focus up. Not gonna reveal too much about it besides it's a return to a style somewhat similar to my album 'Fragments.'

My plan is keep almost all of the album a secret, except for releasing maybe one or two singles beforehand to NG. Of course this means a lot less output from me, but i'm hoping it's worth it for a huge load of new (and remastered) tunes when it's all ready.

This also brings me to another venture i'm dipping my toes into, Live performances. Been testing out a new launchpad and a couple other musical ditties I acquired and have been trying to figure out ways of actually performing my songs live effectively. It's almost a completely different headspace to composing normally, but so far i'm finding it interesting. Hopefully more news on that in the coming months as I learn more about it.

Also been cooking up some really juicy collabs with some friends of mine, hopefully something will come of those to tide you over during this time.

Blender has certainly been taking over my artistic side recently, this being about the third time i've tried using it. Honestly still amazed I managed to render this without frying my pc. Hopefully more epic 3D visuals will be making their way to your eyeballs.

All this to say, it's looking more like my music output in general is going to slow down for a bit. I'm still making new shit everyday, it's just a matter of presenting it all in a nice neat lil' package. Hoping it will be worth it for yall. Maybe I will try some sort of livestream format in the future in order to show off my process, maybe even get tips from you as well.

Hello friends,

I just finished my last track for Jamuary 2023, and thus according to my evil plans i've also just released the 31 demos as a compilation album to Bandcamp!

You can also listen to it here on NG in this handy playlist.

It will also be out on your favourite streaming services within the next 2 weeks or so.

While abandoning a song every day to make room for the next was frustrating at times, I will admit it was fun at times too and definitely gave me some new techniques and a lot of practice to build off of.

Shout out to @Droid for starting up the Jamuary thing here on NG, @Quarl for inspiring me along the way as well with their now complete set of Jamuary tracks, and all my buds who helped in one way or another along the way.

Lastly, thanks to my bro Max for inspiring a majority of this idea with his album 'August', check it out!

Stag is a collection of dark ambient, future garage and more in a brooding monochrome package. Mostly just a way to release a couple similar songs without dumping them one by one as singles. Check them out here on newgrounds, and consider buying the higher quality version at bandcamp!

about 3 years ago I made this super long ambient house track with the intention of making a kick-ass music video and album to go along with it. While the ravages of time continued, this track kept getting pushed farther and farther toward the abyss of the 'unfinished songs' folder. I decided with the help of the band 'Fast Exit' to finally get it on newgrounds. Hopefully someday there'll be a sweet video to go along with it, but for now enjoy!
